Exercise A: Circle the Number 17
Say "seventeen" with your child. Ask your child to circle every number 17 in the rows below.

Exercise B: Look and Count
Point to the picture in the textbook (page 64). Your child touches each one and counts aloud. Tick the box when your child counts correctly.

Exercise C: Count and Draw
Ask your child to count seventeen cars on page 64 (four rows of four, with one car at the front). Then they draw them in the box.

Ask: "How many are there?" Your child says "seventeen".
Exercise D: Colour the Outline Pictures
Print 17 outline pictures of cars (as on page 65). Your child colours them, touching each one once as they count.
Ask: "How many did you colour?" Your child says "seventeen".
Exercise E: Trace the Number 17
Start at the top and go straight down for the 1. Then go across the top for the 7 and slant down.

Print this row in a dotted tracing font, with a dot at the starting point of each number.
Exercise F: Match the Group to the Number
Your child counts each group and draws a line from the group to the number it shows.
