Exercise A: Circle the Number 16
Say "sixteen" with your child. Ask your child to circle every number 16 in the rows below.

Exercise B: Look and Count
Point to the picture in the textbook (page 60). Your child touches each one and counts aloud. Tick the box when your child counts correctly.

Exercise C: Count and Draw
Ask your child to count sixteen drums on page 60 (four rows of four). Then they draw them in the box.

Ask: "How many are there?" Your child says "sixteen".
Exercise D: Colour the Outline Pictures
Print 16 outline pictures of drums (as on page 61). Your child colours them, touching each one once as they count.
Ask: "How many did you colour?" Your child says "sixteen".
Exercise E: Trace the Number 16
Start at the top and go straight down for the 1. Then start the 6 at the top, curve round, and finish with a round belly at the bottom.

Print this row in a dotted tracing font, with a dot at the starting point of each number.
Exercise F: Match the Group to the Number
Your child counts each group and draws a line from the group to the number it shows.
