• Task: Teacher holds up a sign and the child says its name
• Criteria:
  • Says the right name
  • Says it clearly
• Rating: All correct / Most correct / Needs support

2. Label the Picture (During Day 2)

• Task: Children label the traffic lights and the zebra crossing on page 79
• Criteria:
  • At least 3 out of 4 labels correct
• Rating: Excellent / Good / Needs Practice

3. Match the Signs (During Day 2)

• Task: Children draw lines from the four signs to their words
• Criteria:
  • At least 3 out of 4 lines correct
• Rating: Excellent / Good / Needs Practice

Remediation Plan

• Children who score below 5 should:
  • Play "name the sign" every day with flashcards
  • Practise four signs at a time
  • Match two signs with their words with the teacher
