• Task: Children read a few sentences of the passage aloud
• Criteria:
  • Reads clearly
  • Follows the words with a finger
• Rating: Excellent / Good / Needs Practice

2. Find the Answer (During Day 1)

• Task: Teacher asks a question and the child points to the sentence that gives the answer
• Criteria:
  • Finds the right sentence
  • Says the answer
• Rating: All correct / Most correct / Needs support

3. Activity Time (During Day 2)

• Task: Children complete the three sentences on page 75
• Criteria:
  • Correct word in at least 2 out of 3 blanks
• Rating: Excellent / Good / Needs Practice
