Subject: English | Class: Prep | Series: Skillford

Hello children! Welcome to today's lesson. Today we are going to learn about sentence order.

The words of a sentence have to be in the right order before it makes sense. Listen. Water in fish swim. Does that make sense? No. Now listen again. Fish swim in water. Yes, now it makes sense.

Look at the picture of the tiger. The tiger lives in the jungle. The words are in the right order, so we understand what it means.

Now let us put some words in order. Here are six words: woman, My, mother, kind, a, is. Which word starts with a capital letter? My. So the sentence begins with My. My mother is a kind woman. Say it with me!

Here are three words: innocent, Children, are. Children begins with a capital letter, so it comes first. Children are innocent.

One more. The, birds, chirping, are. The birds are chirping. Listen to the birds. Chirp, chirp!

Let us quickly go over what we learned today. The words of a sentence must be in the right order. The first word begins with a capital letter and the sentence ends with a full stop.

Great job, everyone! See you next time!
