• Spread out the cards: jelly, fish, sun, flower, rain, bow, butter, fly
• Children find two cards that go together and read the new word

Time: 5 minutes

• Say a compound word from the book, for example "sunflower"
• Children say the two small words: "sun" and "flower"

Revision Activity 3: Join and Write

Time: 10 minutes

• Write on the board: tooth + brush = ?, jelly + fish = ?, rain + bow = ?
• Children write the new words in their notebooks
