Video Script -- Lesson 42

Use of "Where" and "When"

Subject: English | Class: Prep | Series: Skillford

Hello children! Welcome to today's lesson. Today we are going to learn how to use "where" and "when".

"Where" asks about a place. "When" asks about a time. Where is the door? Point to it. Very good! When do we come to school? We come to school in the morning. Well done!

Let us read some questions and answers together. Where are the children? The children are on the bus. The question asks about a place, so the answer tells us the place. Where is the bird? The bird is in the air. Again, the answer is a place.

Now listen to a question about time. When does Ali go to school? Ali goes to school at 8 o'clock. The question asks about a time, so the answer tells us the time.

Now it is your turn. Look at the picture of the frogs. Where are the frogs? Think of a place and write your own answer. Now look at the picture of the boy at the table. When do you eat breakfast? Think of a time and write your own answer.

Let us quickly go over what we learned today. "Where" asks about a place. "When" asks about a time.

Great job, everyone! Ask your friends a "where" question and a "when" question. See you next time!
