Video Script -- Lesson 38

Use of "He/His" and "She/Her"

Subject: English | Class: Prep | Series: Skillford

Hello children! Welcome to today's lesson. Today we are going to learn how to use "he", "his", "she" and "her".

We use "he" for a boy or a man. We use "she" for a girl or a woman. Something that belongs to him is "his". Something that belongs to her is "her".

Let us read some sentences together. He is a boy. His name is Raza. Raza is a boy, so we say "he" and "his". She is a girl. Her name is Saima. Saima is a girl, so we say "she" and "her".

He is Ali. This is his camera. She is Zainab. This is her racket. He is Saleem. This is his dog. She is Nazia. This is her cat. He is my uncle. This is his umbrella. She is my aunt. This is her purse. Did you notice something? For a boy or a man we use "he" and "his". For a girl or a woman we use "she" and "her".

Now it is your turn. Look at the pictures on the next page. He is Abbas. This is his ball. She is Sara. This is her pencil. He is Ahmed. This is his book. She is Laiba. This is her teddy. Look carefully at each picture, then choose the right words.

Let us quickly go over what we learned today. "He" is for a boy or a man. "She" is for a girl or a woman. "His" belongs to him. "Her" belongs to her.

Great job, everyone! Look around your class and say "He is ..." and "She is ..." with your friends. See you next time!
