By the end of this lesson, children should be able to:

1. Use "He" for a boy or a man and "She" for a girl or a woman
2. Use "his" for something that belongs to him and "her" for something that belongs to her
3. Read sentences such as "He is Ali. This is his camera." and "She is Zainab. This is her racket."
4. Fill in blanks with "He/his" and "She/her"

Formative Assessment

1. Boy or Girl (During Day 1)

• Task: Teacher points to a boy or a girl in the class and children say "He" or "She"
• Criteria:
  • Says "He" for a boy and "She" for a girl
  • Says the whole sentence clearly
• Rating: Excellent / Good / Needs Practice

2. His or Her (During Day 1)

• Task: Say "This is ___ camera" for Ali and "This is ___ racket" for Zainab. Children say the missing word.
• Criteria: Correct word each time
• Rating: All correct / Most correct / Needs support

3. Activity Time (During Day 2)

• Task: Children complete the ten pairs of lines on page 60
• Criteria: Correct words in at least 7 out of 10 pairs
• Rating: Excellent / Good / Needs Practice
