Video Script -- Lesson 33

Position Words

Subject: English | Class: Prep | Series: Skillford

Hello children! Welcome to today's lesson. Today we are going to learn about position words.

Position words tell you where a thing is. Let me put my toy somewhere. Where is it? It is on the chair! Now where is it? It is in the box! Now where is it? It is under the table! Very good!

Let us read the three sentences and look carefully at the pictures to see what the rabbit is doing.

The rabbit is under the table. Look, the rabbit is below the table. The word "under" tells us where the rabbit is.

The rabbit is in the bucket. The rabbit is inside the bucket. The word "in" tells us where the rabbit is.

The rabbit is on the table. The rabbit is on top of the table. The word "on" tells us where the rabbit is.

In, on, under. Say them with me!

Now it is time for the activity. Look at each picture, then write "in", "on" or "under" in the blanks. Look at the first picture. The rat is in the bed. Next, the rat is under the umbrella. And last, the rat is in the hole. Look carefully at each picture before you choose.

Let us quickly go over what we learned today. Position words tell you where a thing is. We learned in, on and under.

Great job, everyone! Move a toy in, on and under things at home and say where it is. See you next time!
