Revision Objectives

• Remember that position words tell you where a thing is
• Use "in", "on" and "under" correctly
• Say where a thing is in a sentence

Revision Activity 1: Move the Toy

Time: 5 minutes

• Teacher says "in", "on" or "under". A child puts a toy in the right place.
• Everyone says the sentence (for example "The toy is under the table.")

Revision Activity 2: Say Where

Time: 10 minutes

• Children sit in pairs and take turns reading the sentences from the book:
  • The rabbit is under the table.
  • The rabbit is in the bucket.
  • The rabbit is on the table.
• Switch partners and repeat

Revision Activity 3: In, On or Under

Time: 10 minutes

• Read the page 52 sentences with a blank. Children call out the word:
  • The rat is ___ the umbrella. (under)
  • The rat is ___ the hole. (in)
  • The rabbit is ___ the table. (on)
