Video Script -- Lesson 30
Masculine and Feminine
Subject: English | Class: Prep | Series: Skillford
Hello children! Welcome to today's lesson. Today we are going to learn about masculine and feminine words.
Masculine words name men, boys and male animals. Feminine words name women, girls and female animals. Let us look at some pairs.
King. Queen. The king is masculine, and the queen is feminine. Boy. Girl. The boy is masculine, and the girl is feminine.
Grandfather. Grandmother. The grandfather is masculine, and the grandmother is feminine.
Cock. Hen. The cock is a male bird, so it is masculine. The hen is a female bird, so it is feminine.
Lion. Lioness. The lion is masculine, and the lioness is feminine. Can you think of more pairs? What about a father and a mother? Very good!
Now it is time for the activity. Draw a line to match each masculine word with its feminine word. Lion goes with lioness. Cock goes with hen. Grandfather goes with grandmother. Boy goes with girl. And king goes with queen. Look carefully at the pictures to help you.
Let us quickly go over what we learned today. Masculine words name men, boys and male animals. Feminine words name women, girls and female animals.
Great job, everyone! Look around your home and find masculine and feminine words. See you next time!
