Revision Activity 1: Masculine or Feminine

Time: 5 minutes

• Teacher says a word: king, queen, boy, girl, cock, hen, lion, lioness
• Children say "masculine" or "feminine"

Revision Activity 2: Pair Talk

Time: 10 minutes

• Children sit in pairs. One says the masculine word and the other says the feminine word:
  • king - queen
  • boy - girl
  • grandfather - grandmother
  • cock - hen
  • lion - lioness
• Switch partners and repeat

Revision Activity 3: Find the Partner

Time: 10 minutes

• Teacher says a word. Children call out its partner:
  • lion (lioness)
  • cock (hen)
  • grandfather (grandmother)
  • king (queen)
