Revision Activity 1: Say It Back

Time: 5 minutes

• Teacher says a word from page 41: wrist, knife, lamb, scissors
• Children say it back and name the letter they did not say

Revision Activity 2: Cover and Read

Time: 10 minutes

• Children sit in pairs and take turns reading the rows on page 41:
  • w: wreck, wrist, write, wrap
  • k: knife, knee, knock, know
  • b: comb, lamb, crumb, limb
  • c: scene, scent, science, scissors
• They cover the silent letter with a finger and read the word again
• Switch partners and repeat

Revision Activity 3: Find the Letter

Time: 10 minutes

• Teacher says a word with a missing letter. Children call out the silent letter:
  • ___ rap (w)
  • ___ nife (k)
  • lim ___ (b)
  • s ___ ent (c)
