• Task: Children read the eight words on page 36 aloud and stop hard on the ending
• Criteria:
  • Reads each word clearly
  • Says the last sound clearly
• Rating: Excellent / Good / Needs Practice

2. Which Ending? (During Day 1)

• Task: Say a word from page 36. Children hold up the "dge" card or the "tch" card.
• Criteria: Correct card each time
• Rating: All correct / Most correct / Needs support

3. Finish the Word (During Day 1)

• Task: Children write "dge" or "tch" to finish the eighteen words on page 36
• Criteria: Correct ending in at least 14 out of 18 words
• Rating: Excellent / Good / Needs Practice
