• Find the vowel in a short word

Revision Activity 1: Say the Vowels

Time: 5 minutes

• Say the five vowels in order: a, e, i, o, u
• Children say them back, then say them again with their eyes closed

Revision Activity 2: Red and Green Piles

Time: 10 minutes

• Give each pair a set of letter cards
• Children sort them into a red pile (vowels) and a green pile (consonants)

Revision Activity 3: Which Letter Is the Vowel?

Time: 10 minutes

• Say a short word, such as "apple" or "ball"
• Children say which letter is the vowel, and which letter comes first
