Video Script -- Lesson 1
Alphabet
Subject: English | Class: Prep | Series: Skillford
Hello children! Welcome to today's lesson. Today we are going to say the alphabet.
The alphabet has twenty-six letters. Every letter has a big letter and a small letter. Let us say each pair aloud. We say the big letter first, then the small letter.
Let us start with the first row. Aa. Bb. Cc. Dd. Ee. Ff. Very good!
Now the second row. Gg. Hh. Ii. Jj. Kk. Ll. Well done!
The third row. Mm. Nn. Oo. Pp. Qq. Rr. Great!
The fourth row. Ss. Tt. Uu. Vv. Ww. Xx. Nearly there!
And the last row has only two pairs. Yy. Zz. Hooray, we said all twenty-six letters!
Now let us try again. This time we will say the name of the letter, and then its sound. Can you think of a word that begins with each letter? Take your time. We will stop on every letter so that someone can say a word.
Here is a game for you. Lay twenty-six letter blocks in a line from A to Z. Close your eyes while a friend takes one away. Open your eyes. Which letter is missing?
Here is another idea. Count the letters in your own name. Who in the class has the longest name?
Let us quickly go over what we learned today. The alphabet has twenty-six letters. Every letter has a big letter and a small letter. We say the big letter first, then the small letter. And we can name each letter and give its sound.
Great job, everyone! Say the alphabet with your friends. See you next time!
