Say "Q" with your child. Ask your child to circle every Q and q in the rows below.

Point to each picture in the textbook (page 48). Your child says the word. Tick the box when your child says it.

Exercise E: Colour the Quail
Draw a quail (a small round bird with a curly feather on its head) in the box. Your child colours it brown.

Ask: "What is this bird?" Your child says "quail".
Exercise F: Trace and Write Qq
Capital first, then small. "Q" is a big round O with a little tail. Small "q" goes round like a c, back up, then straight down below the line.

Print rows 1 and 2 in a dotted tracing font. Your child writes "Qq" on their own on row 3.
Exercise G: Say the Sentence
Say the sentence to your child. Your child repeats it.
"The queen is writing with a quill."
Now ask:
- Who is writing? (the queen)
- What is she writing with? (a quill)
