Hello, little friends! Welcome to our English lesson. Today we are going to meet a new letter. It is the letter F!

Look at these two letters. This big one is capital F. This yellow one is small f. They are the same letter. Can you say it with me? F!

The letter F makes a sound. Put your top teeth on your bottom lip and blow. f, f, f. It sounds like air from a fan. Say it with me. f, f, f. Very good!

Now look at the big picture. Can you see an orange fox with a fluffy tail? Say fox. Fox! Fox starts with F. f, f, fox.

Down in the pond there is a bright blue and orange fish. Say fish. Fish! Fish starts with F too. f, f, fish.

And on the rock there is a big yellow flower. Say flower. Flower! f, f, flower.

Listen to the sentence. The fox and the fish love the yellow flower. Say it with me. The fox and the fish love the yellow flower. Wonderful!

Now let us look at two more pictures. Here is a fan. It goes round and round and keeps us cool. Say fan. Fan! f, f, fan.

And here is a green frog. Ribbit, ribbit! Say frog. Frog! f, f, frog.

Let us say our F words together. Fox. Fish. Flower. Fan. Frog. Great job!

Can you swim like a fish? Move your hand through the air, side to side, side to side. Lovely swimming!

Now hold up your fingers and count with me. One, two, three, four, five. Five fingers! Five starts with F too.

Now it is time to write the letter F. We always write capital F first, then small f. Hold up your finger.

For capital F, start at the top and go straight down. Now go back to the top and make a line across. Then make a line across the middle. One line down and two lines across. That is capital F!

Now small f. Start near the top and curve over, like the handle of a walking stick. Go straight down. Then make a little line across. That is small f!

Let us do it again. Capital F: down, across, across. Small f: curve over, down, little line across. Super!

In your book, trace capital F and small f along the lines. Go slowly and carefully. Then write F at the start of each word: fan, fish, frog and fox.

After that, you can colour the flag. Make the big part green and keep the strip at the side white. That will look lovely!

Let us remember what we learned today. The letter F says f, f, f. Fox, fish, flower, fan and frog start with F. The fox and the fish love the yellow flower.
