Hello, little friends! Welcome back to our English lesson. Today we are going to meet a new letter. It is the letter B!

Look at the two letters. This one is big B. This one is small b. Big B and small b are the same letter. Can you say it with me? B!

The letter B makes a sound. Press your lips together and pop them open. b, b, b. Put your hand in front of your mouth. Can you feel a little puff? b, b, b. Very good!

Now look at the big picture. There is a big yellow bus. Say bus. Bus! Bus starts with b. b, b, bus.

Next to the bus there are some yellow bananas. Say bananas. Bananas! b, b, bananas.

Who is sitting on the bananas? It is a beautiful orange butterfly! Say butterfly. Butterfly! b, b, butterfly.

Listen to our sentence. The butterfly is sitting on the bananas near the bus. Say it with me. The butterfly is sitting on the bananas near the bus. Wonderful!

Here is a round green ball. Say ball. Ball! b, b, ball.

And here is a little wooden boat on the water. Say boat. Boat! b, b, boat.

Can you tell me three things that begin with b? Bus, bananas, butterfly. Yes! And ball and boat too. You are so clever.

Here are some more b friends. A little blue bird. Bird! A big brown bear. Bear! And our boat again. Bird, boat and bear all start with b. When we write them, we put a small b at the start.

Now it is time to write the letter. We always write big B first, then small b.

Hold up your finger. Let us make big B in the air. Start at the top. Go straight down. Go back to the top. Make a small bump round to the middle. Now make a bigger bump round to the bottom. That is big B!

Now small b. Start at the top. Go straight down. Bounce back up and go round to make a round tummy. That is small b!

Let us do them both again. Big B: straight down, small bump, big bump. Small b: straight down, bounce up and round. Well done!

When you trace in your book, go slowly and carefully. Big B first, then small b. Take your time.
