Video Script -- Lesson 21
Days of the Week
Subject: English | Class: Prep | Series: Leeds
Hello children! Welcome to today's lesson. Today we will learn the days of the week.
There are seven days in a week. Let us count them together on our fingers. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven!
Here is a little rhyme to help us remember.
The week starts with Monday, then comes Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Friday is the last school day of the week, and then comes the fun weekend with Saturday and Sunday! There are seven days in a week, and I love them all!
Let us say it again together. The week starts with Monday, then comes Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Friday is the last school day of the week, and then comes the fun weekend with Saturday and Sunday! There are seven days in a week, and I love them all!
Very good! Now let us learn two new words: yesterday and tomorrow. Yesterday is the day before today. Tomorrow is the day after today.
If today is Sunday, then yesterday was Saturday, and tomorrow is Monday.
If today is Monday, then yesterday was Sunday, and tomorrow is Tuesday.
If today is Tuesday, then yesterday was Monday, and tomorrow is Wednesday.
Now answer my questions. How many days are there in the week? Seven! Name the first day of the week. Monday!
Well done! There are seven days in a week. The week starts with Monday, and Saturday and Sunday are the fun weekend.
Great job, everyone! Can you tell me what day it is today? See you next time!
