Video Script -- Lesson 20
Traffic Lights
Subject: English | Class: Prep | Series: Leeds
Hello children! Welcome to today's lesson. Today we will learn about traffic lights.
Have you seen a traffic light on the road? A traffic light has three colours. Red at the top, yellow in the middle, and green at the bottom.
Each colour tells us something. Red says Stop. Yellow says Wait. Green says Go.
Let us learn a fun poem about the traffic light.
Twinkle, twinkle traffic light, round the corner shining bright. Red means stop. Green means go, yellow means very, very slow. Twinkle, twinkle traffic light, round the corner shining bright.
Let us say it again, and this time do the actions with me. When we say red, hold up your hand and stop. When we say green, march on the spot. When we say yellow, move very, very slowly.
Twinkle, twinkle traffic light, round the corner shining bright. Red means stop. Green means go, yellow means very, very slow. Twinkle, twinkle traffic light, round the corner shining bright.
Wonderful! Now let us play a game. I will say a colour and you say what it means. Red ... Stop! Green ... Go! Yellow ... Wait!
So, red light says stop. Green light says go. Remember to always stop at a red light and stay safe on the road.
Great job, everyone! See you next time!
