Daily Lesson Plan -- Lesson 19
Professions
Subject: English | Class: Prep | Series: Leeds
Overview
This lesson introduces professions, the work people do when they grow up. Page 37 shows six professions with a short sentence for each: a teacher teaches students, a cobbler mends shoes, a farmer grows crops, a doctor cures patients, a fishmonger sells fish and a driver drives a bus. On page 38 children match four things (a book, a stethoscope, fire and a paintbrush) with a doctor, a teacher, a painter and a chef.
Learning Objectives

Wrap-Up (5 minutes)

Differentiation
- Support: Give two choices: "Is it a farmer or a doctor?"

Day 3: Activity Time (30 minutes)
Materials
- Textbook page 38, pencils
Warm-Up (5 minutes)
