Video Script -- Lesson 16
Use of "In", "On" and "Under"
Subject: English | Class: Prep | Series: Leeds
Hello children! Welcome to today's lesson. Today we will learn three little words: in, on and under.
The words in, on and under show positions. They tell us where something is.
Look at the boy. He is sitting at his desk. He says, "I am in the classroom." In the classroom!
Now look at the cat. It is sitting on the red sofa. The cat is on the sofa. On the sofa!
Look at the green frog. The frog is in the pond. In the pond!
And look at the cow. It is sitting under the big tree. The cow is under the tree. Under the tree!
Let us say the words together. In. On. Under. Very good!
Now let us play a game. I will say a sentence and you say the missing word.
A bird is sitting on the branch. A bird is ... on the branch!
An egg is in the nest. An egg is ... in the nest!
An apple is in the basket. An apple is ... in the basket!
A boy is sitting under the tree. A boy is ... under the tree!
A pup is sitting on the cushion. A pup is ... on the cushion!
Well done! Today we learned that in, on and under show positions. The frog is in the pond. The cat is on the sofa. The cow is under the tree.
Great job, everyone! Look around your room and find something in, on or under. See you next time!
