Formative Assessment

1. Sentence Reading (During Day 1)

• Task: The child reads one pair of sentences from page 26, such as "This is a butterfly. It has blue wings."
• Criteria:
  • Reads both sentences clearly
  • Knows what "it" stands for
• Rating: Excellent / Good / Needs Practice

2. Finish the Sentence (During Day 2)

• Task: The teacher says "This is a lioness." The child says "It has two cubs."
• Criteria: Starts the second sentence with "It" for at least 3 out of 5 pictures
• Rating: All correct / Most correct / Needs support

3. Writing Check (During Day 3)

• Task: The child fills in "It" in the six blanks on page 27
• Criteria:
  • Writes "It" in each blank
  • Uses a capital "I"
• Rating: Neat and accurate / Satisfactory / Needs improvement
