Video Script -- Lesson 12
Use of "And"
Subject: English | Class: Prep | Series: Leeds
Hello children! Welcome to today's lesson. Today we are going to learn a small but very useful word. The word is "and".
We use "and" to join two words or two sentences. When we have two things, we can say their names together with "and" in the middle.
Look at this apple. Now look at this orange. Let us put them together. We say: apple and orange. Say it with me: apple and orange!
Here is a bat. And here is a ball. Let us put them together. We say: bat and ball. Say it with me: bat and ball!
Now it is your turn. Look at the apple and the orange. What do we write? We write: apple and orange.
Look at the cup and the glass. What do we write? We write: cup and glass. Very good!
Remember to leave a small space between each word when you write. Apple, space, and, space, orange.
Let us quickly go over what we learned today. We use "and" to join two words. Apple and orange. Bat and ball. Cup and glass.
Great job, everyone! Look around your home today and join two things with "and". See you next time!
