Revision Activity 1: Action Time

Time: 10 minutes

• Say a verb and children act it out:
  • cook, eat, read, write, crawl, smile, run, sing, paint, jump
• Ask: "Is this an action?" Children answer: "Yes, it is a verb!"

Revision Activity 2: Animal Verbs

Time: 10 minutes

• Say an animal and children say what it does:
  • dog -- bark
  • horse -- neigh
  • elephant -- amble
  • lion -- roar

Revision Activity 3: Guess the Verb

Time: 10 minutes

• One child acts out a verb from page 21 without speaking
• The class guesses the verb
• The child who guesses right acts next

Revision Activity 4: Word Bank Review

Time: 10 minutes

• Read the word bank: cook, cry, sing, bathe, swim, write
• Point to each picture on page 22. Children say the verb.
• Give a star on the board for each correct answer
