Hello, little friends! Welcome to our English lesson. Today we are going to meet a new letter. It is the letter z! It is the very last letter of the alphabet.

Look at this big red letter. Here is a big Z and a small z. Can you say it with me? z!

The letter z makes a buzzy sound, just like a bee. z, z, z. Buzz with me. z, z, z. Very good!

Now look at the picture. Look up in the sky. Can you see the big striped balloon with a little room under it? It is a zeppelin. Say zeppelin. Zeppelin! Zeppelin starts with z. z, z, zeppelin.

Now look at the big golden letters over the gate. They say zoo. A zoo is a place where we can see lots of animals. Say zoo. Zoo! z, z, zoo.

Here is a pair of blue jeans with a zip. We pull the zip up and down. Zip, zip! Say zip. Zip! z, z, zip.

And who is this? It is a zebra! The zebra has black and white stripes. Say zebra. Zebra! z, z, zebra.

Let us say all our z words together. Zeppelin. Zoo. Zip. Zebra. Great job!

Now let us say the chant from the top of the page. Clap with me. z, z, zeppelin. z, z, zoo. z, z, zip. Wonderful!

Here is one more line. Listen. z, z, zebra is native to Africa. That means zebras come from Africa. Say it with me. z, z, zebra is native to Africa. Super!

Now it is time to trace the letter z. Hold up your finger. Let us draw z in the air.

Start at the top. Go across. Now slant all the way down. Now go across the bottom. That is the letter z!

Let us do it again. Across, down, across. z!

One more time, nice and slow. Well done!

Big Z and small z have the same shape. Small z is just a little smaller.

Let us remember what we learned today. The letter z says z, z, z.

Zeppelin starts with z. Zoo starts with z. Zip and zebra start with z too.
