Hello, little friends! Welcome to our English lesson. Today we are going to meet a new letter. It is the letter x!

Look at this big red letter. Here is a big X and a small x. Can you say it with me? x!

Can you make an x with your arms? Cross them over your chest. That is an x shape! Say x, x, x. Very good!

Now look at the picture. We are in a hospital room. The doctor is holding a picture of a knee. It is called an x-ray. An x-ray shows the bones inside us. Say x-ray. X-ray! x, x, x-ray.

Look at the bed. There is a xylophone with lots of colours. Blue, green, yellow, orange and red. You tap it and it makes music. Ting, ting! Say xylophone. Xylophone! x, x, xylophone.

Here is an xbox. It is white, and it has a little orange controller for playing games. Say xbox. Xbox! x, x, xbox.

And look out of the window. It is snowing! There is a xmas tree with a star on top and shiny balls. Say xmas tree. Xmas tree! x, x, xmas tree.

Let us say all our x words together. X-ray. Xylophone. Xbox. Xmas tree. Great job!

Now let us say the chant from the top of the page. Clap with me. x, x, x-ray. x, x, xylophone. x, x, xbox. Wonderful!

Here is one more line. Listen. x, x, xmas tree has green branches. Say it with me. x, x, xmas tree has green branches. Now hold your arms out wide, like green branches!

Now it is time to trace the letter x. Hold up your finger. Let us draw x in the air.

Start at the top on this side and slant all the way down. Now start at the top on the other side and slant all the way down. The two lines cross in the middle. That is the letter x!

Let us do it again. One line down. Two lines down. x!

One more time, nice and slow. Well done!

Big X and small x have the same shape. Small x is just a little smaller.

Let us remember what we learned today. This is the letter x.

X-ray starts with x. Xylophone starts with x. Xbox and xmas tree start with x too.

x, x, xmas tree has green branches.

To make the letter x, we draw two lines that cross in the middle.
