Exercise B: Look and Say
Point to each picture in the textbook (page 22). Your child says the word. Tick the box when your child says it.

Exercise C: Match the Word to the Picture
Say each word aloud. Your child draws a line from the word to the correct picture.

Exercise D: Colour the Tree
Draw a big tree in the box. Your child colours the leaves green and the trunk brown.

Ask: "What is this?" Your child says "tree".
Exercise E: Trace the Letter Tt
Big T: start at the top, go straight down, then draw a line across the top. Small t: start near the top, go straight down and curve at the bottom, then draw a little line across.

Print these rows in a dotted tracing font, with a red dot at the starting point of each letter.
Exercise F: Say the Chant
Say each line to your child. Your child repeats it.
"t / t / tomato"
"t / t / tiger"
"t / t / turtle"
"t / t / tree lifts her leafy arms to pray"
Now ask:
- Who lifts her leafy arms? (the tree)
- Which animal has stripes? (the tiger)
