Hello, little friends! Welcome to our English lesson. Today we are going to meet a new letter. It is the letter S!

Look at this big red letter. This is big S. And next to it is small s. Big S and small s. They are both wiggly, like a snake. Can you say it with me? S!

The letter s makes a sound. It says s, s, s. It sounds like a snake. sss! Say it with me. s, s, s. Very good!

Now look at the picture. We are at the beach. There are pretty flags, little lights and a big orange tent. It is a picnic!

Who is this, smiling at us? It is a green snail with a brown shell on its back. Say snail. Snail! Snail starts with s. s, s, snail.

Look up in the sky. A white bird is flying. It is a seagull! Say seagull. Seagull! s, s, seagull.

Down at the bottom is a big red strawberry with green leaves. Yum! Say strawberry. Strawberry! s, s, strawberry.

And on the little wooden table is a sandwich. It has bread and green leaves inside. Say sandwich. Sandwich! s, s, sandwich.

Let us say our chant together. Clap with me. s, s, seagull. s, s, strawberry. s, s, sandwich. Wonderful!

Now listen to this line about the snail. s, s, snail knows well haste makes waste. The snail goes slowly and carefully. When we rush, we make mistakes. Say it with me, slowly like a snail. s, s, snail knows well haste makes waste. Great job!

Let us say all our s words together. Seagull. Strawberry. Sandwich. Snail. Super!

Can you fly like the seagull? Flap, flap! Now move slowly, slowly, like the snail. You are so clever.

Now it is time to trace the letter S. Hold up your finger. Let us draw big S in the air.

Start at the top. Curve round to the left. Now curve back round to the right. Wiggle, wiggle! That is big S!

Now small s. It is the same wiggly shape, just smaller. Start at the top, curve left, curve right. Small s!
