Say "p" with your child. Ask your child to circle every P and p in the rows below.

Exercise B: Look and Say
Point to each picture in the textbook (page 18). Your child says the word. Tick the box when your child says it.

Exercise C: Match the Word to the Picture
Say each word aloud. Your child draws a line from the word to the correct picture.

Exercise D: Colour the Panda
Draw a simple panda outline in the box. Your child colours the ears, eye patches and legs black and leaves the rest white.

Ask: "What is this?" Your child says "panda".
Exercise E: Trace the Letter Pp
Big P: start at the top, go straight down, go back up, then curve round to the middle. Small p: start in the middle, go down below the line, go back up, then curve round.

Print these rows in a dotted tracing font, with a red dot at the starting point of each letter.
Exercise F: Say the Chant
Say each line to your child. Your child repeats it.

"p / p / parrot"
"p / p / peacock is emperor of colours"
Now ask:
- Which bird has the most colours? (the peacock)
- Which bird is green and sits on a branch? (the parrot)
Exercise G: Big P or Small p?
Your child colours the big P letters green and the small p letters red.
