Hello, little friends! Welcome to our English lesson. Today we are going to meet a new letter. It is the letter j!

Look at this big red letter. This is big J, and this is small j. Small j has a dot on top and a curly tail at the bottom. Can you say it with me? j!

The letter j makes a sound. It says j, j, j. Let us jump and say it. j, j, j. Very good!

Now look at the picture. We are in a kitchen. Look at the table. There is a big red jelly with a red berry on top. Wobble, wobble! Say jelly. Jelly! Jelly starts with j. j, j, jelly.

Next to the jelly there is a tall glass of orange juice. It has a curly straw. Say juice. Juice! j, j, juice.

Look up here. A jacket is hanging on the wall. It is orange and white. Say jacket. Jacket! j, j, jacket.

And who is this? It is a funny joker! He has red hair, a red nose and a purple hat with a flower. He is smiling at us. Say joker. Joker! j, j, joker.

Let us say all our j words together. Jelly. Juice. Jacket. Joker. Great job!

Now let us say our chant. Clap with me. j, j, jelly. j, j, juice. j, j, jacket. Wonderful!

Here is a little rhyme about the joker. Listen. j, j, joker gives you smiles. Say it with me. j, j, joker gives you smiles. Show me your biggest smile!

Let us play a game. When I say jelly, wobble like a jelly. Jelly! Wobble, wobble. When I say juice, take a little sip. Juice! Sip, sip. When I say joker, make a funny face. Joker! Well done!

Now it is time to draw the letter j. Hold up your finger. Let us draw a big J in the air. Start at the top. Go straight down, and curl round to the left. Big J!

Now let us draw a small j. Start up high. Go down, down, below the line, and curl round to the left. Now lift your finger and make a dot on top. Dot! Small j!

One more time, nice and slow. Down, curl, and a dot on top. Well done!
