Exercise B: Look and Say

Point to each picture in the textbook (page 10). Your child says the word. Tick the box when your child says it.

Exercise C: Match the Word to the Picture

Say each word aloud. Your child draws a line from the word to the correct picture.

Exercise D: Colour the Hen

Draw a big hen outline in the box. Your child colours the hen brown and its little chicks yellow.

Exercise E: Trace the Letter Hh

Big H: line down, line down, then across the middle. Small h: tall line down, back up, then a hump over and down.

Exercise F: Say the Chant

Say each line to your child. Your child repeats it.

Now ask:

1. What sound do hen, hat and hut start with? (/h/)
2. Which animal gleams in the sunlit rays? (the horse)
