Daily Lesson Plan -- Lesson 7
Letter Gg
Subject: English | Class: Playgroup | Series: Leeds
Overview
This lesson introduces the letter "Gg". Learners look at a big picture of a grape garden on page 9 and meet four words that begin with "g": girl, goat, glass and grapes. They say the sound chant from the page and the rhyme line "g / g / grapes are small and round in shape". On the second day they find the big "G" and the small "g", say the words again and draw the letter in the air. All talk is oral and playful. Learners are not expected to read or write words.
