Say "c" with your child. Ask your child to circle every letter C and c in the rows below.

Exercise B: Look and Say
Point to each picture in the textbook (page 5). Your child says the word. Tick the box when your child says it.

Exercise C: Match the Word to the Picture
Say each word aloud. Your child draws a line from the word to the correct picture.

Exercise D: Colour the Carrot
Draw a big carrot outline in the box. Your child colours the carrot orange and the leaves green.

Ask: "What is this?" Your child says "carrot".
Exercise E: Trace the Letter c
Start at the top. Curve round to the left and stop at the bottom.

Print these rows in a dotted tracing font, with a red dot at the starting point of each letter.
Exercise F: Say the Chant
Say the chant to your child. Your child repeats it.
"c / c / crow, c / c / cow, c / c / carrot"
Now say the rhyme line together:
"c / c / cat always chases a rat"
Ask:
- Who chases a rat? (the cat)
- Which one is black and can fly? (the crow)
