Hello, little friends! Welcome to our English lesson. Today we are going to meet our very first letter. It is the letter A!

Look at the big red letters. This is big A. And this is small a. Can you say it with me? A, a!

The letter a makes a sound. It says a, a, a. Open your mouth and say it with me. a, a, a. Very good!

Now look at the picture. We are in a lovely green garden with apple trees. Can you see the red apples on the trees?

Look at this little friend on the path. He is smiling and waving at us. It is an ant! Say ant. Ant! Ant starts with a. a, a, ant.

Now look at this big, red, shiny apple. Say apple. Apple! Apple starts with a too. a, a, apple.

Can you see the tree stump? There is an axe in it. Say axe. Axe! a, a, axe.

Let us say our chant together. a, a, ant. a, a, apple. a, a, axe. Wonderful!

Now look up in the sky. What is flying up there? It is an aeroplane! Say aeroplane. Aeroplane! Aeroplane starts with the letter a too.

Let us say this line together. a, a, aeroplane is above the tree. Again! a, a, aeroplane is above the tree. Great job!

Put your arms out wide and fly like an aeroplane. Whoosh! Now sit down nicely.

Let us say all our a words together. Ant. Apple. Axe. Aeroplane. You are so clever!

Now hold up your finger. Let us draw small a in the air. Start at the top. Curve round like a little ball. Go back up to the top. Now go straight down. That is small a!

Let us draw big A too. Slide down this way. Slide down that way. Now a line across the middle. That is big A!

One more time, nice and slow. Small a, round, up, and down. Big A, down, down, and across. Well done!

Let us remember what we learned today. This is big A and small a. The letter a says a, a, a.

Ant starts with a. Apple starts with a. Axe starts with a. And the aeroplane is above the tree.
