Hello, little friends! Welcome to our English lesson. Today we are going to meet a new letter. It is the letter Z! Z is the very last letter of the alphabet.

Look at the big red letters. This is big Z. And this is small z. Can you say it with me? Z, z!

The letter z makes a sound. It buzzes like a bee. z, z, z. Say it with me. z, z, z. Very good!

Now look at the pictures. Here is a black and white animal with lots of stripes. It is a zebra. Can you say zebra? Zebra! Zebra starts with z. z, z, zebra.

Here is a long red zip. We pull a zip up and down to close a jacket or a bag. Zip, zip! Say zip. Zip!

Look up in the sky. There is a big blue airship floating along. It is called a zeppelin. Say zeppelin. Zeppelin!

And here is a big wooden gate. Behind the gate there are animals. There is a tiger, a fox, a giraffe and a parrot. This is a zoo! Say zoo. Zoo!

Let us say all our z words together. Zeppelin. Zoo. Zip. Zebra. Great job!

Now I have a question for you. Can you name the largest zoo of Pakistan? There are big zoos in Lahore and in Karachi. Have you ever been to a zoo? Which animals did you see?

Now let us draw the letter z in the air. Hold up your finger. Go across the top. Slant down to the bottom. Now go across the bottom. That is z!

Let us do it again. Across, slant down, across. z! Well done!

Look at the bottom of the page. There is a racing car and a zebra. Which one starts with z? Zebra! z, z, zebra. Car does not start with z. So we draw a circle round the zebra.

Let us remember what we learned today. The letter z says z, z, z, like a buzzing bee.

Zeppelin, zoo, zip and zebra all start with z.
