• Recognise the big "Z" and the small "z" and say the sound /z/
• Recall the words zeppelin, zoo, zip and zebra
• Name a big zoo in Pakistan
• Pick out the zebra as the picture that begins with "Z"

Revision Activity 1: Buzzing Bees

Time: 3 minutes

• Learners buzz like bees: "zzz"
• Then say /z/ /z/ /z/ together
• Say together: "/z/ /z/ zebra"

Revision Activity 2: Point and Say

Time: 5 minutes

• Open page 32 or hold up picture cards
• Say a word and learners point to it: zeppelin, zoo, zip, zebra
• Then swap: you point, learners say the word
• Clap once for every correct answer

Revision Activity 3: Z Actions

Time: 5 minutes

• Say "zip": learners pull a pretend zip up their front
• Say "zeppelin": learners float slowly with arms out
• Say "zebra": learners gallop on the spot
• Say "zoo": learners make a gate with their arms

Revision Activity 4: Do You Know?

Time: 4 minutes

• Ask: "Can you name the largest zoo of Pakistan?"
• Accept the Lahore Zoo, the Karachi Zoo or any zoo learners have visited
• Ask: "Which animals live at the zoo?" and name the animals on page 32

Revision Activity 5: Buzz for z

Time: 5 minutes

• Say a word; learners buzz "zzz" if it starts with /z/
• Use: zebra, car, zip, zoo, zeppelin
• Stay quiet for car

Revision Activity 6: Air and Finger Tracing

Time: 4 minutes

• Draw a big "z" in the air together: across, slant down, across
• Let learners run a finger over the big pink "Z" on page 32
