Hello, little friends! Welcome to our English lesson. Today we are going to meet a new letter. It is the letter U!

Look at the big red letters. This is big U. And this is small u. Can you say it with me? U, u!

The letter u makes a sound. It says u, u, u. Say it with me. u, u, u. Very good!

Now look at the pictures. Here is a big umbrella. It has so many colours, red, orange, yellow, blue and green! Can you say umbrella? Umbrella! Umbrella starts with u. u, u, umbrella.

When it rains, we hold an umbrella over our heads. Then we stay nice and dry!

Look at the cloud at the top. There are pots and pans and spoons. These are utensils. We cook and eat with utensils. Say utensils. Utensils!

Here is a white shirt, a red tie and blue trousers. This is a uniform. You wear a uniform to school too! Say uniform. Uniform!

And look at this big blue planet with a ring around it. This planet is called Uranus. It is far, far away in the sky. Say Uranus. Uranus!

Let us say all our u words together. Utensils. Umbrella. Uniform. Uranus. Great job!

Now I have a question for you. Can you name a language that begins with U? We speak it at home and at school. Yes! It is Urdu. Urdu begins with U. Clever you!

Now let us draw the letter u in the air. Hold up your finger. Start at the top. Go down, and curve round at the bottom. Go back up. Then a little line down. That is u!

Let us do it again, nice and slow. Down, round, up, and a little line down. u! Well done!

Look at the bottom of the page. There is an umbrella and a tomato. Which one starts with u? Umbrella! u, u, umbrella. Tomato does not start with u. So we tick the umbrella.

Let us remember what we learned today. The letter u says u, u, u.

Utensils, umbrella, uniform and Uranus start with u. Urdu starts with U too.

You did a super job today, little friends! Keep saying u, u, u. See you next time! Bye-bye!
