Hello, little friends! Welcome to our English lesson. Today we are going to meet a new letter. It is the letter S!

Look at this big red letter. This is big S, and this is small s. S is wiggly, just like a snake. Can you say it with me? S!

The letter S makes a sound. It says s, s, s. It sounds like a snake hissing. Ssssss! Hiss with me. Ssssss. Very good!

Now look at the pictures. Here is the sun. It is big and bright and yellow. The sun gives us light. Can you say sun? Sun! Sun starts with S. s, s, sun.

Look at this green snake. It is curled around a branch, and it has big blue eyes. Hiss like a snake. Ssssnake! Say snake. Snake! s, s, snake.

Here is a sunflower. It is a big yellow flower that looks like the sun. Say sunflower. Sunflower! s, s, sunflower.

And here is a sack. It is a big brown bag, tied at the top. Say sack. Sack! s, s, sack.

Let us say all our S words together. Sun. Snake. Sunflower. Sack. Great job!

Now I have a question for you. Which planet begins with S? Here is a clue. It has big rings all around it. It is Saturn! s, s, Saturn. Draw a ring in the air with your finger. Saturn!

Now let us play a game. I will show you two pictures. One is a plant and one is a snake. Which one begins with S? Snake! s, s, snake. Plant begins with p. In your book, put a tick on the snake.

Let us draw the big S in the air with our finger. Start at the top. Curve to the left. Now curve back to the right, and down. Wiggle, wiggle, like a snake. That is big S!

Small s is just the same, but smaller. Wiggle, wiggle. That is small s!

Let us remember what we learned today. The letter S says s, s, s. Sun, snake, sunflower and sack all start with S. And the planet Saturn starts with S too!
