Revision Objectives

• Recognise the capital and small letter "Pp" and say the sound /p/
• Recall the words parrot, peach, plant and panda
• Name the country that begins with "P"
• Pick the things that begin with /p/

Revision Activity 1: Popping P

Time: 4 minutes

• Hold up the "P" card. Learners press their lips together and pop out /p/
• Hold a hand in front of the mouth to feel the puff
• Say together: "P says /p/"

Revision Activity 2: Point and Say

Time: 6 minutes

• Open page 21
• Say a word and learners point to it: parrot, peach, plant, panda
• Then swap: you point, learners say the word
• Clap once for every correct answer

Revision Activity 3: Parrot Says

Time: 5 minutes

• You are the parrot. Say a word from the page; learners repeat it like parrots
• Then say "parrot", "panda", "plant", "peach" faster and faster
• Learners flap their arms each time

Revision Activity 4: Our Country

Time: 3 minutes

• Ask: "Which country begins with 'P'?"
• Learners say "Pakistan" and clap on the /p/

Revision Activity 5: Join or Not

Time: 6 minutes

• Show the octopus, panda, peach and plant from page 21
• Say each word. Learners give a thumbs up if it begins with /p/
• The octopus gets a thumbs down
• Learners join the /p/ pictures to a big "P" on a fresh sheet

Revision Activity 6: Air Writing

Time: 3 minutes

• Draw a big "P" in the air together: straight down, back to the top, round to the middle
• Draw a small "p": straight down below the line, back up, round
