Hello, little friends! Welcome to our English lesson. Today we are going to meet a new letter. It is the letter O!

Look at this big red letter. This is big O, and this is small o. They are both round, like a ball. Can you say it with me? O!

The letter O makes a sound. It says o, o, o. Make your mouth round like a little circle and say it with me. o, o, o. Very good!

Now look at the pictures. Here is an orange. It is hanging from a tree with green leaves. Can you say orange? Orange! Orange starts with O. o, o, orange.

Look at this big bird. It is an owl! The owl has big round eyes and brown feathers. Make big owl eyes with your fingers. Say owl. Owl!

Here is an onion. One half is cut open, and you can see circles inside. Say onion. Onion! o, o, onion.

And here is a pink octopus. It has lots of wiggly arms. Wave your arms like an octopus! Say octopus. Octopus! o, o, octopus.

Let us say all our O words together. Orange. Owl. Onion. Octopus. Great job!

Now I have a question for you. Which colour begins with O? Here is a clue. Look at the orange fruit. What colour is it? Yes, it is orange! The colour orange begins with O. Can you find something orange near you?

Now let us play a game. I will show you two pictures. One is an orange and one is a bus. Which one begins with O? Orange! o, o, orange. Bus does not begin with O. In your book, colour the orange with your orange crayon.

Let us draw the big O in the air with our finger. Start at the top. Go round, round, round, all the way back to the top. That is big O!

Small o is just the same, but smaller. Round and back to the top. That is small o!

Let us remember what we learned today. The letter O says o, o, o. Orange, owl, onion and octopus all start with O. And the colour orange starts with O too!
