Revision Objectives

• Recognise the capital and small letter "Nn" and say the sound /n/
• Recall the words noodles, nest, nurse and net
• Name a body part that begins with "N"
• Pick the picture that begins with "N"

Revision Activity 1: Humming N

Time: 4 minutes

• Hold up the "N" card. Learners hum /n/ for as long as they can
• Then say together: "N says /n/"
• Hold up the "n" card and do it again

Revision Activity 2: Point and Say

Time: 6 minutes

• Open page 18
• Say a word and learners point to it: noodles, nest, nurse, net
• Then swap: you point, learners say the word
• Clap once for every correct answer

Revision Activity 3: Act and Guess

Time: 6 minutes

• Act out one word without speaking: eating noodles, being a nurse, making a nest with your hands, throwing a net
• Learners guess the word and say its first sound /n/
• Let a volunteer act the next one

Revision Activity 4: Nose Game

Time: 3 minutes

• Ask: "Which human body part begins with 'N'?"
• Learners touch their nose and say "nose"
• Play "Touch your nose" quickly, saying /n/ each time

Revision Activity 5: Yes or No

Time: 5 minutes

• Show the nest and the lantern from page 18
• Say "nest". Learners give a thumbs up for /n/
• Say "lantern". Learners give a thumbs down
• Ask a learner to tick the nest again on a copy of the box

Revision Activity 6: Air Writing

Time: 3 minutes

• Draw a big "N" in the air together: straight down, back to the top, slant down, straight up
• Draw a small "n": straight down, back up, hump over and down
