Hello, little friends! Welcome to our English lesson. Today we are going to meet a new letter. It is the letter K!

Look at the big red letters. This is big K, and this is small k. Can you say it with me? K!

The letter K makes a short, sharp sound. It says k, k, k. Say it with me. k, k, k. Very good!

Now let us look at the pictures. Every picture begins with K.

Here is a kettle. It is big and red, and it sits on the stove. We make hot tea in a kettle. Make a spout with your arm. Say kettle. Kettle! Kettle starts with k. k, k, kettle.

Here is a kingfisher. It is a little bird with blue and orange feathers. It sits on a branch. Flap your wings! Say kingfisher. Kingfisher! k, k, kingfisher.

Here are some keys. Jingle, jingle! We open doors with keys. Turn your pretend key. Say keys. Keys! k, k, keys.

And here is a kiwi. It is a fruit, brown outside and green inside. Say kiwi. Kiwi! k, k, kiwi.

Let us say all our K words together. Kingfisher. Kettle. Keys. Kiwi. Great job!

Now I have a question for you. Which city of Pakistan begins with K? Think, think. Karachi! Karachi begins with K. Clap it with me. Ka, ra, chi!

Now let us play a game. I will show you two pictures. One is a kettle and one is an iguana. Which one starts with k? Listen. Kettle. Iguana. Yes, kettle starts with k! Iguana starts with i. So we draw a big circle around the kettle. Round and round. Well done!

Let us draw K in the air with our finger. Go straight down. Now make a slanting line in to the middle, and a slanting line out. That is the letter K!

Let us remember what we learned today. The letter K says k, k, k. Kingfisher, kettle, keys and kiwi all start with K. And Karachi is a city that begins with K.
