Hello, little friends! Welcome back to our English lesson. Let us remember our letters. A, B, C, D. You know so many letters now!

Today we are going to meet a new letter. It is the letter E!

Look at this big red letter. This is big E. And this is small e. Can you say it with me? E!

The letter E makes a sound. It says e, e, e, like at the start of elephant. Say it with me. e, e, e. Very good!

Now let us look at some pictures that begin with E.

Look at this big elephant! It has huge ears, a long trunk and two white tusks. Can you swing your arm like a trunk? Say elephant. Elephant! e, e, elephant.

Here is an eagle. It is flying with its big wings open wide. It has a white head and a yellow beak. Say eagle. Eagle! Eagle starts with E.

Look at this pink eraser. We use an eraser to rub out pencil marks. Rub, rub, rub! Say eraser. Eraser!

And here is the earth. The earth is our big round world. It has blue water and green land. Say earth. Earth!

Let us say all our E words together. Elephant. Eagle. Eraser. Earth. Great job!

Now the boy in the hat has a question for you. Name the bird which begins with E. Look at the pictures. Which one is a bird? Yes, the eagle! Eagle is a bird, and eagle begins with E. Well done!

Now it is time for a little game. Look at the box at the bottom of the page. There is a pink E. Next to it there is an elephant and a dog.

Does elephant start with E? e, e, elephant. Yes! Put a tick on the elephant.

Does dog start with E? Dog. No! Dog does not start with E. So no tick for the dog.

Let us draw the letter E in the air. Hold up your finger. A straight line down. Now three lines across: one at the top, one in the middle, and one at the bottom. That is big E! Well done!

Let us remember what we learned today. The letter E says e, e, e. Elephant, eagle, eraser and earth all start with E. And the eagle is a bird.
