Hello, little friends! Welcome back to our English lesson. Do you remember our letters? A says a, a, a. B says b, b, b. Well done!

Today we are going to meet a new letter. It is the letter C!

Look at this big red letter. This is big C. And this is small c. They look the same, but one is big and one is small. Can you say it with me? C!

The letter C makes a sound. It says c, c, c. Short and quick. Say it with me. c, c, c. Very good!

Now let us look at some pictures that begin with C.

Look up in the sky. Here is a black crow. It is flying with its wings open. Caw, caw! Say crow. Crow! Crow starts with C. c, c, crow.

Look at these two boys. They are playing cricket! One boy has a bat and there is a red ball. Say cricket. Cricket! c, c, cricket.

Here is a big birthday cake. It has candles and fruit on top. Yum, yum! Say cake. Cake! c, c, cake.

And here is a cane. A cane is a walking stick. It helps people walk. Say cane. Cane!

Let us say all our C words together. Crow. Cricket. Cake. Cane. Great job!

Now the boy in the hat has a question for you. Name the desert which begins with C. A desert is a very dry place with lots of sand. There is a big desert in Pakistan called Cholistan. Say Cholistan. c, c, Cholistan! It starts with C.

Now it is time for a little game. Look at the bottom of the page. There is a big pink C in the middle. Around it there are four pictures: a cake, a candle, a cup and an ant.

Which ones begin with c, c, c? Cake. Yes! Candle. Yes! Cup. Yes! Ant. No, ant starts with a. So we join the cake, the candle and the cup to the letter C. We do not join the ant.

Let us draw the letter C in the air. Hold up your finger. Start at the top and go round, like a circle that stays open. That is C! Well done!

Let us remember what we learned today. The letter C says c, c, c. Crow, cricket, cake and cane all start with C. And Cholistan is a desert that starts with C.
