Revision Objectives

• Recognise the capital "C" and small "c" and say the sound /c/
• Recall the words crow, cricket, cake and cane
• Pick the things that begin with /c/ (cake, candle, cup) and leave out the ant
• Remember that Cholistan is a desert that begins with "C"

Revision Activity 1: Caw Caw Crow

Time: 5 minutes

• Learners flap their arms like crows and say "caw, caw"
• Stop and say a word. Learners say the first sound
• Words: crow, cricket, cake, cane

Revision Activity 2: Point and Say

Time: 5 minutes

• Open page 5 or hold up picture cards
• Say a word and learners point to it: crow, cricket, cake, cane
• Then swap: you point, learners say the word
• Clap once for every correct answer

Revision Activity 3: In or Out?

Time: 5 minutes

• Hold up the four activity pictures one at a time: cake, candle, cup, ant
• If it starts with /c/, learners jump in. If not, they stay out
• Ask: "Why did we stay out for ant?" (ant starts with /a/)

Revision Activity 4: Cricket Match

Time: 5 minutes

• Learners stand in a line with a pretend bat
• Say a word. If it starts with /c/, they swing and shout "Four!"
• Use: cake, cane, crow, cup, candle, apple, banana

Revision Activity 5: Big C, Small c

Time: 5 minutes

• Write "C" and "c" large on the board next to "A a" and "B b"
• Learners draw each letter in the air with a finger
• Point out that big "C" and small "c" are the same shape
