Hello, little friends! Welcome back to our English lesson. Do you remember the letter A? A says a, a, a. Well done!

Today we are going to meet a new letter. It is the letter B!

Look at this big red letter. This is big B. And this is small b. Can you say it with me? B!

The letter B makes a sound. Press your lips together and pop them open. b, b, b. Say it with me. b, b, b. Very good!

Now let us look at some pictures that begin with B.

Look at this little baby! The baby is wearing a long woolly hat with red, yellow and green stripes. Say baby. Baby! Baby starts with B. b, b, baby.

Here is a yellow banana. Bananas are yummy! Say banana. Banana! b, b, banana.

Look at this big yellow bus. It is a school bus. Beep, beep! Say bus. Bus!

And here is a green book. We read stories in a book. Say book. Book! b, b, book.

Let us say all our B words together. Baby. Banana. Bus. Book. Great job!

Now the boy in the hat has a question for you. Name your friend whose name begins with B. Think about your friends in class. Does a friend's name start with b, b, b? Tell your teacher!

Now it is time for a little game. Look at the bottom of the page. There is a big pink B in the middle. On one side there is an apple. On the other side there is a balloon.

Does apple start with B? Apple. No! Apple starts with a. Does balloon start with B? b, b, balloon. Yes! So we colour the balloon. You can make it any colour you like.

Let us draw the letter B in the air. Hold up your finger. A straight line down. Then a bump, and another bump. That is big B! Well done!

Let us remember what we learned today. The letter B says b, b, b. Baby, banana, bus and book all start with B. And balloon starts with B too.
